I waited to post until 10:30 tonight, even though I've been home most of the day with a cold. Doing anything other than snacking while watching Breaking Bad and Deep Space Nine is tough when that pressure builds up behind your face and your nose starts leaking so much goop that all the tissues used to wipe it away rip your nose apart. I'm not going to wax poetic about how lame this is, or discuss the irony of our advanced civilization's inability to cure the common cold while practically ridding the world of Polio and Smallpox. Although wouldn't it be funny if someone did find a cure or vaccine for acute rhinitis, and it ended up throwing off some unseen balance in our ecosystem, wreaking havoc on Earth. I don't know if that's actually a good idea, or if it's just the natural course of disaster movie logic.
