Staring
He sat stunned for a minute, unable to let himself believe what was happening. It didn't sound like they were talking to him, but it definitely felt like it. All that stuff about the wind? Sure it had that classic horror story timbre, but he never heard anything that sounded like language. And even though everything about this morning was completely implausible, he had a hard time convincing himself to not believe it. Some instinct inside him went so far as telling him this was supposed to happen. Not necessarily that this was all destiny, but certain events had been set in motion, and this was the logical next step.
The train of thought derailed there and he became acutely aware of the girls' silence. They were staring at him, eyebrows raised above sunglasses, waiting. "Well?"
"Well what?" Very clever.
"Why the fuck did you call us here?"
"Yeah, and who are you, anyway?"
