Last night I found myself standing atop a hundred year old stone skyscraper that earned the term better when it was built than it does now, dwarfed by more modern, and somehow nondescript towers. The roof lost all solidity while I gazed into the offices surrounding me. The city shook around me for a few seconds leaving me dizzy. Stillness settled back over the rooftop like before. The access door behind me refused to open. Apparently I forgot to prop it open. As I wondered how long I'd have to wait for someone in the surrounding buildings to call someone to let me back in, something struck me as odd. One corner of the building was now touching the slick grey monolith next door. It didn't look like the larger building was supporting the entire weight of mine, bu I still wanted to get down right now. So I went over to the corner and knocked on the window. A pretty woman in her late twenties or early thirties whipped around and covered her mouth in surprise. She shooed me away from the glass, grabbed her chair, and heaved it right through the window. Surprise had no chance, because I was determined to climb into that window, although it was really just a step. And as soon as I stood upright she pressed her body against mine and started making out with me.
Unfortunately, and predictably, that's when I woke up.
