Electric shock exercise

Electric shock therapy for weight-loss? It sounds like a little like A Clockwork Orange except they force you to eat gourmet cupcakes until you throw up while watching that film about Hitler et al.

Or maybe it's more like The Terminal Man. Spark People have chosen to get a new neural implant that gives them a little shock once they've eaten enough food. Unfortunately some people will inevitably enjoy the discomfort caused by the shock and become either morbidly obese or incredibly violent. Or possibly a horrific combination of the two.

Is Chris Downie planning to create an army of newly thin people who think they have to transform the world in order to transform their own life? After all, the mores of society made them eat their insecurities in the first place. The only way to stop it from happening again is to turn the entire world into Spark People. Then they will understand.
