This is actually an incredibly well executed photographic forgery. Okay, forgery is the wrong term. It's a prop from an unaired Murder She Wrote episode. Proof that an eighty year old murder wasn't a murder after all. When the target was killed in the line of scientific duty, his survivors were well taken care of by the state of California (where Ms. Fletcher just happened to be visiting on a book tour a friend of hers' father died in mysterious circumstances). Turns out the father had uncovered this photograph of the day his father was supposedly killed in a test of a new bullet-proof vest.
After some digging, the guy found out that his father had run off with some dancer out to Texas and started a new family. One of his new daughters found her way to her secretly ancestral home and married her half-brother, the man now residing in the morgue.
Well, CBS decided that was a little too scandalous to air, but the producer loved this prop so much he mounted it on his living room wall.
