Lesson learned today: Never use less than 6 cups of water to brew coffee in your roommate's coffee maker. It will just take longer and start dripping the second you take it out to check if anything came out in the past ten minutes. Your nonexistent coffee sensibilities will also not be able to tell if this cup objectively sucks or not. Good thing half the reason I drink coffee is for those delicious flavored creamers they have at Stop n' Shop. Will this possibly watery cup of coffee have sufficient juice to help me recover from my nap on the futon? We'll probably never know for two reasons. Waking up is a slow process, and I convinced myself long ago caffeine doesn't do anything for me, except in large doses, like in a Four Loko.
Lesson #2 (I'm learning so much on my day off!): Congratulations! Your boss has admitted he would be screwed if you ever left your job! You are now indispensable and will be treated as such! At least that's the idea. It also means that both "work days" of your vacation have seen texts from co-workers asking how to do things. Some trivial, some not so much. Time to go down and show them a thing or two!
(catch-uppance to come later)
