Day off

I wrote today, and I walked, and then I watched a movie.

My photography critique group keeps a blog, and it's my turn to post some photos. I don't know which pictures I'll submit, but I wrote a very brief summary of photo school and where it leaves me now. I could have just used it here, but that's cheating. Probably more eloquent than what I'm writing now on my iPhone.

Today was too nice to stay insider girlfriend's apartment, so I turned on an early episode of This American Life about pimping in 1970's Oakland and strolled until lunchtime. Took some artful, probably worthless photos with the phone.

As soon as I got back I decided to watch Miller's Crossing, one of the few Coen brothers' movies I had yet to see. Big surprise, it was wonderful. Those guys are masters. It's nice to watch a movie that genuinely surprises you and lets loose ends stay untied. Art mimics life and all that jazz.
