The warmest day of the summer


Tourists in the Public Garden

Normally I wouldn't think about posting this. The only thing in focus is that branch in the upper right-hand corner. Screw it. I don't care that the subjects are out of focus. That was the most summery of days. Somewhere in the high nineties with relentless sun, but no humidity. Hot breezes wafted around me and for once I didn't want to lay down and give up. Enjoying the heat felt good.

I could argue that the lack of focus mirrors that special delirium unique to the balmiest of days, and I could be right, but I don't care.
