Vacation with a crappy camera and worse weather

Cadillac Mountain, Bar Harbor, ME

This is what it looks like when you drive 1,528 feet up a mountain into a cloud. I know what you're thinking, "It's foggy? Big shit. Go back tomorrow." Well I wasn't really disappointed. Okay, I was, but it was also really cool and eerie. Most of the time we were up there I felt like I could accidentally step right off the mountain. Thankfully, Cadillac is pretty rounded off.

A quick note about the motorcycles: We seemed to be on the same touring schedule. What else is there to do on a big mountainy island on the coast of Maine when its foggy and rainy but drive around? You can drink local beer and eat a ton of delicious barbeque, but you should at least wait until the afternoon. Anyway, they were from Quebec, and I tried several times to get a good picture of them, but this is the closest I got to the gentle bikers in heavy windbreakers.

I love Holgas, but they sure don't play too well with fog.
