Something happens in Boston when August turns into September. Thousands of people pack their lives into scavenged boxes and rented trucks to move, at the most, a couple miles away. It is terrifying. You don't have to be one of these migrants in order to feel their pain. Detritus crowds the sidewalks, sometimes useful, mostly cheap and abused. Trucks clog major arteries driven by students unused to piloting something so large who proceed to double park wherever they see fit.
2011 brought me a new milestone. Something I hadn't done since 2005. I stayed put, and it was glorious. So I stood back and took a few pictures.
