The Social Predator

A sociological look at the animal within us all. The carnivorous beast whose only goal is to feed off the energy of everyone around it with no regard to the sapping effect it has on others. Ever wonder why all you want to do when you get home is watch TV? It's the easiest way to re-charge after a day of literally losing your drive to the stronger, more successful predators called colleagues or bosses.

All you can do to look out for yourself is suck up someone else's energy before you fall into a deep spiraling depression. Theoretically everyone could get together and agree to share their energy freely, only taking what they need, but the sociopaths among us a programmed only to hunt. Nothing will keep them at bay. Great, super-absorbent monsters would take control of everything. Leaving anarchy the least available evil.
