The Liturgigators

John Grisham writes a book about lawyers, only this time he doesn't try and hide it with a crafty title like The Client. Unlike his usual legal thriller, this is a battle between good and evil. Literally.

The best, most honest, moral lawyer on earth from a small southern town is called to Heaven to defend humanity against some serious allegations. The angels have brought a class action lawsuit against us for squandering our birthright, and they hired the vilest prosecutor of them all, Beelzebub.

With God as judge and jury (he has 4 executioners on horseback), all the human race throughout history is eligible for subpoena.

After working in the corrupt New Orleans legal system for so long, does this down home lawyer have the constitution to defend the very people he has lost complete faith in, or will the Devil get them all an eternal sentence to Hell?
