Stage-light serenade

This is what it looks like when you're sitting and drinking a beer, waiting for the opening DJ everyone is preparing to tolerate for an hour so you can wait another fifteen or twenty minutes for the real band to start playing music you've never heard before because an integral member quit to pursue a solo career in a set that you end up thoroughly enjoying while still feeling slightly underwhelmed. You're perched on a stool in a line running the length of the wall, elbows leaning on the ten inch counter struck by three things.

It is way too empty in here for a sell out, but it's quite nice to be able to catch little moments like this that can barely translate into a phone picture, and maybe that's a good thing.

Everyone here seems young and full of reasons to be disliked, but I was there in the recent past and should never forget it.

While I'm absorbing this scene a girl feels absolutely no pressure to pretend she's excited for the next hour and a half of waiting. She's writing something, and it makes me happy that two people can sit next to each other with their heads in separate continents (or here, maybe just states), and it is just fine.
