Turkeys now roam the streets their oppressors once ruled, surveying what remains of a bloodthirsty civilization. These are proud fowl who avoided gutting and re-stuffing for countless years. The world s now theirs, but all that seems to be left behind are reminders of our achievements on their backs and the squandering of our awesome power (at least compared to that of the turkeys).
Some live much as they did before, foraging for food and staying out of as much trouble as possible. Others prey on the weaker species, occasionally even their own, always controlled by their bullying ways. Post-apocalyptic waste collection has become an interesting trade. Pieces of our
history and cuture become their trophies.
A few brave birds search through the wastes for anyone left, convinced that turkeys, the most powerful being left on the Earth, will make the same mistakes as humans. They seek understanding and friendship. Most of their brethren don't understand the message. How could they after spending their lives in fear of our guns? So those who seek us are shunned into keeping our company. The last people on earth, living with the prey of the past, working to create a new society of peace and prosperity for the future.
We are thinking of demanding sacrifices.
